When searching the ingest directory, it will add ANY file it finds in there to its queue to transcode. This will cause errors when attempting to transcode them, and can possibly lead to files being deleted if they're not intended to be copied to ingest.

There should be a file-type check when adding files to the transcode queue, possibly to be defined in the service config file.
